Third Test, Day five: England hold on...again

It seems all of a sudden we have a remarkable knack of holding on for draws in tests which we have no right to save, at Cardiff in the Ashes and at Centurion in the first test of this series.

Today's remarkable result is very much down to the focussed batting displays from Paul Collingwood who made 40 and Ian Bell who made 78, with the four batsmen surrounding Colly and Bell on the scorecard failing to get into double figures.

However tailenders Graeme Swann and number eleven batsman Graham Onions more than pulled their weight in the fight, staving off 40 balls between them before the close of play.

The deflated South Africans now need to win the final test to draw the series, and I really hope that the test in Joburg on January 14th England doesn't come this close to screwing it up again, or it will be heart-in-mouth time.
